Haradinaj responds to accusations about Serbian List Minister of Agriculture

Nenad Rikalo was appointed a few days ago Minister of Agriculture, part
of the government cabinet formed by Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush
Haradinaj.
Right after, several accusations were launched from the residents of Kurriz, in Dardani. They told Kosovo media that Rikalo has tortured Albanian citizens in 1999, when was serving in uniform and armed.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj responded to the accusations. He said that the claims had been investigated, and he has an official answer for them:
“We were very concerned by the reactions of some citizens, regarding the possibility of having one member of our cabinet, Minister Nenad Rikalo, involved in tortures against the citizens of Prishtina in 1999. I have immediately asked information from the Prosecution, the Kosovo Intelligence Agency and the Police. The official response from all these institutions was that there is no data that he was involved in such actions. As Prime Minister of Kosovo, I want to guarantee citizens that I will follow the law not only for this case, but for any other similar concern”, Haradinaj said.
Rikalo is part of the Serbian list and former member of the Kosovo Central Election Commission.
