Haradinaj: “Our history of religious tolerance helps us against violent extremism”

The Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, present in today’s Aqaba Meeting, held for the first time in Tirana, said that people who fight for ISIS have nothing to do with Islam, and that they are terrorists.

He underlined that there terrorists have funded persons in Albania and Kosovo, but our history of religious harmony helps us in this path.

“Kosovo is aware about the terror dangers. As a small country, we have also had some citizens who joined the war. There are still some Kosovo citizens in Syria. There is an undergoing investigation, and 35 have been arrested”, Haradinaj said.

The Prime Minister of Bulgaria, present in this meeting, said that the Western Balkan countries, especially Albania, should receive support from the EU members, some of whom need to overcome their egoism.
