Haradinaj: “Kosovo will form its army”

On Top Channel’s “Top Story”, the Kosovo candidate for Prime Minister,
Ramush Haradinaj, said that the Serbian MPs coming from the recent
elections will not oppose the creation of a Kosovo Army.
“They are Kosovo citizens and we respect the choice of Kosovo citizens. The important thing is that Kosovo’s agenda will not be withheld by anyone, not even from Belgrade. We are going to work with the communities, but not for our country to remain on a stalemate due to the blocking votes. Serbs are not against the army. There is persistence from Belgrade, but we are not interested on what Belgrade thinks about this topic”, he declared.
Haradinaj said that the formation of the Kosovo army will take place on the right time, in full cooperation with international partners. He said that they will also respect the verdict of the Constitutional Court in 2014, regarding the creation of the government.
“The government will be created based on the Constitution, and we don’t see anything difficult with this”, Haradinaj declared.
