The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, declared that the government responds only to the Parliament, not to ambassadors after many foreign diplomats reacted to the decision to repeal the Special Court.
Haradinaj declared that the initiative derives from the Parliament, and the government respects it.
“The Parliament has appointed us and we only respond to the Parliament, not to ambassadors. Never forget this. We answer to ambassadors for diplomatic relations, but they are not our employers. We have our employers and we show respect to them”, Haradinaj declared.
The government of Kosovo is being criticized by international partners for trying to repeal the Special Court. US and EU diplomats warned that this would have severe consequences.
The head of the EU representative office in Prishtina, Natalya Apostolova, declared that the repealing of this law would influence the European path of Kosovo.
