The General Director of the State Police Ardi Veliu, accompanied by the leaders of the Tirana Police Directorate, last night inspected the Police services in the capital, checking the implementation of measures and the work that the Police is doing in this regard.
During the inspection in central “Blloku” and other areas of Tirana, Director Veliu asked the leaders of DVP Tirana, for more measures taken at the weekend, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Based on the increase of infection cases, director Veliu emphasized that a greater commitment of the Police is needed at the weekend and uninterrupted checks in squares, boulevards, parks and any public environment, in order to penalize anyone who does not respect security measures and protocols.
Taking into account the celebration of Halloween, the General Director has ordered all structures in all counties to take measures not to allow events and celebrations, as they are a potential source to spread the COVID-19 virus.
Services of the Police Commissariat no. 1 and 2, as well as the mobile forces “Eagles”, during yesterday evening, have imposed 85 measures worth 3,000 ALL each for young people who circulated without respecting social distance and without wearing a mask.
From the services of the Police Commissariat no. 1 were imposed 3 fines worth 1,000,000 ALL each, for three administrators of the premises that during the checks after 20:00, the Police services have ascertained playing music and without respecting the security protocols.
