The European Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, addressed a
message to Albanians on the ending of European Summer School of the
National Council of Integration.
“The choice to become part of the EU has been certain for decades by Albanians. However, turning political aspirations into concrete actions and increase the life quality, peace, dignity and prosperity, is always very complex and challenging. It comes through hard work, constant reforms and intensive dialogue. After an intensive year with electoral reforms, you will have a new Parliament and a new government. We are looking forward to this new development and to the chances laying in front of us”, the Commissioner declared.
The EU Ambassador to Tirana, Romana Vlahutin, reiterated the EU support for such initiatives, adding that the integration process includes the entire society.
Majlinda Bregu, former Democratic Party Member who was part of this project, concluded the meeting by saying: “Starting from tomorrow, I am unemployed”.
