The EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, is optimistic for Albania’s EU path.
In an interview for Die Welt, Hahn said that Albania and Macedonia are now two countries that are running towards the EU.
According to him, the member countries argue that it is more sensible that the accession of Western Balkan countries comes in block.
“However, there is some positive competition in Balkan. Serbia and Montenegro used to be seen as the countries that were the only ones running towards the membership. Albania and Macedonia are now up for this position”.
The most important thing, according to him, is that Serbia and Kosovo must find a solution to their disagreements.
