Hague: Haradinaj, fair trial

The International Court of Hague hopes that the trial of the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, will be fair.

The declaration comes from Frederic Svinen, adviser of the Chief Prosecutor Serge Brammertz.

“The Prosecution hopes that the trial will be successful”, declared Svinsen after the journalists asked him about the way the trial will continue after Shefqet Kabashi’s withdrawing from the witness list.

As for the sentencing of the former Yugoslav general, Momcillo Perissic,  Svinen specified that the prosecution is studying the decision and within they will decide within this month if they will appeal it or not.

The official has further explained that the Chief Prosecutor Brammertz will visit Belgrade on 12 and 13 September, regarding the cooperation for the processes currently being held in Hague.
