The Speaker of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, expressed deep indignation about the arrest and deporting of six Turkish citizens one day ago, an act for which he blames Prime Minister Haradinaj and President Thaci.
“The first mistake is institutional, because if they were terrorists, they should have been removed two years ago. I did everything possible and met with everyone. I called a meeting with the Prime Minister and every institution. I even went to the airport, but I was notified after the deed was done. These actions are unprecedented. I would have never believed that I would experience such a shame. Not ashamed as Speaker, because the stronger ones may sometime force you down, but ashamed about what is going on in a country where I have a responsibility”, Veseli declared.
The arrest and deporting of six employees of the “Gulistan” education institution was described by Veseli “almost as a kidnapping”. The episode has shocked Kosovo institutions, as Prime Minister Haradinaj fired the Minister for Interior, Flamur Sefaj, and the Director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency.
The only happy person in this is the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who said that the Turkish Intelligence, in cooperation with the Kosovo Intelligence, had been able to arrest six high-level representatives of FETO in Balkan, who will be tried in Turkey.
The representatives of the “Mehmet Akif” Turkish colleges in Kosovo, where these six Turkish citizens were employed, say that they have not been deported to Turkey yet. Their relatives gathered in front of the Kosovo government building to demand explanations.
