The Greek Minister of Defense, Panos Kamenos, released a declaration
from the Greek border checkpoint in Molivdhoskepasti, close to the
border with Albania, giving a message to Tirana and Ankara, according to
him.

“This is our answer to those who dare put in question international agreements, international laws and make challenging declarations against us”, Kamenos said.

He addressed to Turkey initially, considering declarations of Erdogan wanting to change the Treaty of Lausanne about borders with neighbors as idiotic. Then he referred to Albania and the recent heated debates with official Tirana.

“The recent declarations of Mr.Rama, not based on historic facts, should remind us that he is talking about those who were collaborators of the Nazi. They were on the side of losers in the war. We will not accept these challenges and declarations that offend our history and international rights”, Kamenos said.

The Greek Minister was accompanied by the General Chief of Staff of the Greek Army, Vasilis Telidhis, and several high-level officials of his Ministry, who stayed together with him for more than 24 hours at this border checkpoint.
