The Greek Foreign Minister, Jorgos Katrougkalos, declared that his country will enlarge its territorial waters by the Summer 2019.
“This is a concluded political decision and an immediate priority”, Katrugkalos said, adding that this will happen, by enlarging this way the territory and Greece, and by helping Athens with its negotiations with Rome and Tirana as regards the exclusive economic areas.
Diplomatic sources have said for Top Channel that Greece and Albania will not discuss their borders, because those are decided through international agreements.
They mention that based on the agreement between Albania and Greece, signed on March 21st 1996, both states promise to keep the current borders unchanged.
