The Greek Ambassador to Albania, Eleni Surani, has visited the Albanian President today, a meeting held behind closed doors.
The meeting is motivated by the expected visit of the Greek Prime Minister in April, and the efforts for the Albania-Greece maritime border agreement.
The Albanian Foreign Ministry has asked the President plenipotentiary authorization to negotiate the border, but the President has asked for more details before issuing the authorization.
Both the President and the government promise that everything is being done under the laws of the Constitutional Court.
