The Greek Ambassador to Tirana, Eleni Sourani, avoided declarations about the political situation in Albania, but she said that they are concerned about the situation in Himara.
In a meeting with the Prefect of Vlora, Etjona Hoxha, the Ambassador requested guarantee for treating the Himara issue with more benevolence. She underlined that the treatment of the Himara residents remains a priority.
“Greece is very attentive to all minority areas. As for Himara, the project must be realized without influencing too much the Himara community”, the diplomat said.
When asked about the declarations of the Greek Foreign ministry, the Ambassador said it was her first visit in Vlora and she didn’t want to make political comments.
