In a statement from Vienna, Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to critical voices about Greece’s 12-mile sea expansion, saying it is speculation.
Rama further on responded to President Ilir Meta, saying that his statement that he will protect the constitutionality has nothing to do with the Constitution, as the international convention enables Greece to expand at sea.
Rama said that Meta should remain calm and not ‘raft’ with the Constitution.
“Mitsotakis’ statement on the expansion of territorial waters has nothing to do with our territorial waters. The president should be well informed, do what he should do and not confuse the Albanian constitution with the sea convention. The President has nothing to do with the fact that Albanian constitutional law is not included in the International Convention. He should be calm as it is not the time to do rafting. ” stated Rama.
