Greece, Kodheli meets Papulias

In conclusion of her official visit in Athens, the Minister of Defense,
Mimi Kodheli, attended a meeting with the Greek President, Karolios
Papulias.

The Minister of Defense press release says that Papulias and Kodheli valued the cooperation between the two countries, as two of the oldest people in the region, with old historic and traditional relations.

They shared the same opinion about the recent positive developments in the interest of our two countries, the peace and stability in the region,  for the stability and peace of the region, as an added value to the entire European Union.

President Papulias and Minister Kodheli mentioned several topics of the mutual agenda that require a solution through positive spirit and good will from the two governments, such as the law of war, the maritime borders, the honoring of the martyrs, toponyms, etc.

Kodheli updated President Papulias on the recent developments in the relations with Albania and Kosovo, about the recent meeting between the two countries, which she considered a very good model that can be held with other governments of the region.

Papulia valued the determination of the Rama government for the reforms and for becoming part of the European family, saying that Albania is an European country that belongs to Europe, and that Greece has been one of the main supporters for Albania’s integration.
