The four Nigrita Prison Guards who gave their declarations this Monday
at the Prosecution were released on probation until trial. There were 15
guards who had to give their declarations today.
They have given their declarations in Serra, 80 kilometers from Thessalonica. Now they are not allowed to leave Greece and have to appear once every month at the Police precinct.
The last two suspects will give their declarations tomorrow. The Prosecution is also waiting for the testimony of one of the guards who declared that he left his shift in the moment when Ilia Karelli was brought inside.
The Director of this prison has not been summoned yet. He is seen in both videos only a few meters from the cell where the Albanian prisoner was being tortured.
Six prison guards have been arrested so far, and six others were released on probation.
