The organizers called it a “civil meeting”. Nothing more special than
the summer promenades of the Tirana citizens in the green space in front
of the International Center of Culture.
But this time there was even a civil commitment and the fulfillment of a petition that protected the building.
The citizens of different ages and levels consider this building a monument that must be preserved.
The organizers held speeches about the protection of this object, mentioning its architectural, historical and symbolical values.
Last Thursday, on July 14th, the Albanian Parliament passed the law for the construction of a new Parliamentary complex, which will be built in the area where today stands the International Cultural Center… after demolishing it.
