The Champion boxer in Germany, Ferit Keta, has received the gratitude medal from Tirana’s Mayor Erion Veliaj.
“This medal goes to anyone who gives honor to our city. You have brought us honor not only by becoming a champion in Germany but also by doing it with the Albanian flag. I know that it is easy for some sportsmen to say that their country doesn’t have economic opportunities, and that’s why they will leave it for another country. But what I have understood from you is that you are a real champion who doesn’t make bids for the motherland because you have your motherland and it makes you proud”, Veliaj said.
Champion Ismail Keta, who is also his coach, gave the Tirana Mayor the boxing globes of Ferit Keta with which he was declared Champion of Germany.
The three Keta brothers have won eight Europe and World champion titles.
