Government voted and takes oath

After the vote of confidence that the Rama government received by the
Parliament, Rama and his Ministers went to the Presidency, where all the
ministers took their oath in front of the Head of the Albanian State,
President Bujar Nishani.

After the ceremony, the entire new cabinet went to the Prime Minister’s office to have the first government meeting.

Before entering, PM Rama held a short speech before his supporters who were greeting the first official day of work. Edi Rama promised that the power will belong to the citizens and his government would be realized with the people and for the people.

“The new government just took the oath, and this is the government of all Albanians which will govern for all Albanians. We chose to unite, not to divide. We will unite and we will not divide. We were elected to serve and not to take and we will be an example of the war against injustice and corruption. We were voted to give to our dear country the energies that it can go faster towards an Albanian Revival and that no more years are lost in the path of the European Albanian dream, which is our mission. With modesty I can say that revival will not come overnight and revival is what we all need. We will govern for the people, for the dream that started on December 1990, with the chants ‘We want Albania like all Europe’, and we are here for this dream that should go on stronger and more live than ever”, Rama declared.
