The order for blocking the mining permit in Area D was proposed by the
Mine Inspection-Salvation Unit and the National Agency of Natural
Resources.

Top Channel has the report of the Ministry of Energy for suspending the permits in the most problematic area of Bulqize, the so-called Area D. The Report shows the safety problems and conditions, and also several infrintements from the private operators, to the point of not implementing the institution’s orders.

Experts of the National Agency of Natural Resources and the Mine Inspection-Salvation Unit have identified that besides the irregularities in the technical documents, including the investment registers, the company has also worked there where it has been banned by law.

According to the report, this is about Gallery 34, for which the Mine Inspection-Salvation Unit had ordered the suspension of works, but this has not been respected by the private subject. Area D, which belongs to the Southern part of the Bulqize Mine, is actually exploited by the “Tour Alb” Company. The latter operates as a sub-contractor of ACR, part of the Balfin Group, the company that owns this mining permit.

Sources from the Ministry said for Top Channel that the owner of the mining permit is the one who is responsible for his area. For this reason, the inspection group has proposed to suspend the exploitation permit for an undefined term, until all violations are identified.

This report confirms once again the chaotic situation and the lack of law implementation in the biggest chrome mine of our country, one of our biggest natural resources. The Lezhe prosecution is investigating the subjects also for ax evasion.
