Government says it has redistributed 200m euros from the ministries that did not fulfil the expenses

The Albanian government said that it has redistributed the budget funds with a second normative act due to the non-realization of certain programs, thus sending of funds to other programs with good progress.

In this case, the best performance was observed at the Ministry of Infrastructure, where with the new normative act, 6.45 billion lek were added, most of them in road transport and irrigation and drainage infrastructure. Since the beginning of the year, this institution has received 13.6 billion ALL more.

In the meantime, 2 billion ALL have been added to the municipalities, imposing the condition of repayment of arrears. While ALL 1.48 billion goes to support the needy. On the other hand, the government has allocated 3 billion ALL as a loan to the company AlbControl.

With the latest review, the government shows that it has received 70 million euros less in foreign financing, which has reduced the value of capital expenditure. 90% of the value of foreign financing has been replaced by internal budget funds.

Meanwhile, the government has removed most of the funds from the Ministry of Defense, amounting to almost 4 billion ALL. For the second time, health funds are being cut.

About 2.2 billion lek have been removed from the Ministry of Justice, mainly from the owners’ compensation item. The process has stopped after a lawsuit in the constitutional court that is being considered.

Discounts are also available for the Albanian Development Fund as well as for the e-governance government program. In total, ministries and budgetary institutions have been deprived of 70 million euros, tha officials say.
