Government meeting, Rama in Vlore

This is one of the conclusions through which the two-day meeting of the new ministers ended, under the leadership of the Prime Minister designate, Edi Rama, in the Coastal city of Vlore.

In the long meetings, everyone who was proposed from the new majority for leading the ministries, has introduced their objectives for the first 300 days of governing. Not having a full idea of the problems in every ministry, the Socialist Party members who were proposed to become Ministers declared that their objectives will be clearer after they will be in power. The Prime Minister designate, Edi Rama, asked them that the action plan for each of them should be clear, and by the end of the first 300 days, they will have to report the fulfillment of these commitments.

Sources from the meeting declared for Top Channel that Rama has asked the Ministers of the Socialist Party and those of the Socialist Movement for Integration to work as a team. If the projects of a ministry interfere with another Ministry, the cooperation should be complete, according to Rama.

The conclusion continued with another meeting of the Prime Minister designate with the local leaders of the Socialist Party in the southern coastal areas, and Parliament Members of these districts.

The focus of this meeting was ending the illegal construction in the coastline. As for the commitment on the discipline of the coast, Rama asked full cooperation from the local administration, and a coordination without hesitation with the Socialists elected in the Albanian Parliament, and the structure that the Albanian government will establish for this issue.

The meeting of the new cabinet was the first one being handled with all the members proposed as Ministers. Starting their work from the city of independence is not only related to the fact that the Prime Minister designate is Parliament Member of Vlore, but also with the historic coincidence that his government, named Albanian Revival, inaugurates the second 100th anniversary of Albania.

Berisha: Violation of the Constitution

The outgoing Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, reacted against the meeting of the Rama cabinet in Vlore, accusing them of violating the Constitution by gathering a government that has not taken the oath according to the law.

“Dear friends, Mr.Rama announced the two-day meeting of his government in Vlore, by violating this way the articles of the Constitution which clearly state when the cabinet starts working. They are ignoring the Parliament and the President, who are tasked for the voting and the oath of the government after the elections. The painter (Rama) red the election result with 63 Parliament Members as a license for revenge, based on anti-state actions. For more than two months, our more serious efforts for a stable situation and for a normal functionality of the institutions are facing the illegal revenge of Rama. I want to tell him that he is mistaken. Albania has only one government that is responsible to the law and the Constitution”, Berisha declared.
