The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, introduced the budget of 2015.
Rama underlined that the core of this draft is supporting the economic
growth without austerity measures.

“This is a budget with several standards, with realistic solutions for a situation in which the potentials are enough for reaching our minimal objective for an economic growth more than 4% in the fourth year of this mandate”, Rama declared.

Expressing his regret for the opposition’s absence in Parliament, Rama answered to their accusations for raising taxes.

“This budget comes as result of a long reflection over a new fiscal package that reduces or zeroes 15 taxes and increases only 3. This is a fiscal package that in the conditions of our country gives a chance to stimulate production that could then stimulate processing within our country”, Rama declared.

Rama listed all taxes that will be reduced for the next year and their positive effects in the economy. He also explained the reasons of the three increasing taxes, such as that of oil.

“The government has no desire to increase taxes on those who use cars. This is a contribution of those who use cars, to have a better country. All those investments that will increase security on the road, that will increase the green spaces, are related to this minimal contribution of everyone”, Rama declared.

The budget of 2015 increases the revenues with 49 billion ALL compared to this year. 16 billion come from the tax raise, and the rest from a growth of the economy and administering. The budget reduces the deficit with 48% compared to 2014, which, according to the government, makes it possible for the next year to reduce for the first time after several years of only growing.
