The Commission for the Protection of the Consumer decided to ask “CEZ
Distribution” to provide them with the detailed information about the
many problems that have been presented, and for continuing to inspect
the cases that will be treated in the next meeting of this commission,
in which CEZ will be invited in a hearing session.

This decision came after the meeting that was held yesterday in the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy, under the direction of the Commission’s Vice Chair, Anila Jani.

During this meeting that was announced by the Ministry three days ago, the Commission inspected the consumers’ requests for the practices of the CEZ Distribution Company.

The meeting was open for the media only for a few minutes, when they announced the matters that would be discussed.

In this meeting there was Altin Goxhaj, the lawyer of the City of Tirana, for the Tirana Municipality, who used to lead the Association for the Protection of the Consumer, and one of the activists for the matter of energy and billing price.

The lack of power supply for long periods (even more than one month), the failure to send energy bills at consumers’ residences and failing to inform consumers in time for the displacement of the encasements offices, obliging this way many consumers to pay delay interests, were some of the issues that were discussed in this Commission of the Ministry of Economy.
