Government hands over budget draft

The government has officially handed over the state budget for 2015. The
draft brings the total revenues to 412 billion ALL, with a growth of
12% compared to this year, while the general spending is foreseen at 470
billion ALL.
According to the government, the high revenue increase and restrictions in spending might make Albania reduce the public debt after a few years.
On the other hand, despite the consolidation, public investments are kept at 5% of the GDP. According to the government, it will support the priority sectors of economy.
“The 2015 budget within the Autumn session means that this budget is active since January 2015, different fro other times. The government allows the Parliament to take opnions and remarks from the public and other institutions, with the purpose to improve the project and consolidate it”, declared Ermonela Felaj, Minsiter for Relations with the Parliament.
