Despite the movements of the Albanian President, the majority has shown
to be determined to discharge the two members elected by the Parliament
at the High Council of Justice.
The Parliamentary Commission of Laws will start reviewing the request of 39 majority MPs for the discharging of Elvis Cefa and Lulzim Lelcaj. If the procedure will end within this Tuesday’s session, the relation of the Commission of Laws might be ready for the session of this Thursday, when the discharging of the two member could be made official.
The request coming from 39 MPs of the majority underlined that the two Palriament members a the HCJ do not represent the trust and will of this institution. The MPs list 10 violations against these members, which, according to the majority, have caused a bad management of the judiciary.
After the conflict between HCJ and the Minister of Justice regarding Judge Gjin Gjoni, when the HCJ did not support the Minister’s request for suspending him after being accused of hiding assets, the majroity declared that the two Parliament members in this Council have violated the law and warned that their positions will be reviewed.
