In a meeting with representatives of the transportation associations and
8+1 taxis, the Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, declared that eh
decision for stopping all unlicensed vans or that abuse with the
license, is a necessary measure for the citizens’ safety.
The Minister of Transportation, Edmond Haxhinasto, asked the licensed vehicles to guarantee all conditions for the citizens, even using a taximeter.
The Minister of Transports declared that the number of licensed 8+1 vehicles is much higher than the 4+1 ones, by violating a law that foresees the preservation of a 110 proportion.
The Associations of Buses denounced the fact that licenses are given without any criteria by the local administration. Representatives of 8+1 vehicles asked a review of the law that obliges them to return empty after a trip.
