The Ministry of Infrastructure announced the opening of the international tender for the Vlora airport.
The concession will be 35-year-long and foresees the construction, the operation and the returning of the airport to the government’s hands.
The deadline for the bids is March 12th, 2020, while the winner will be declared within the next year.
The Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, declared that the operation will increase the competition and will decrease the ticket prices.
The authorities foresee a higher number of tourists each year, and that would increase the interest of investors.
The airport will be built in Akerni, Vlora, and will also offer trans-oceanic flights.
