A few seconds after midnight, the most viewed site on the internet,
Google, has changed its logo to an Albanian flag doodle with number 100,
for Albania’s 100th anniversary of independence.
This change is visible only to the Albanians within the Albanian territory.
The initiative of a young man from Korca who lives in USA, Klajdi Hena, was accepted by the Google Company, which has more than 1 billion views each day.
The appeal of Klajdi Hena for signing a petition has received great support from the Albanians throughout the world, collecting more than 75.000 signatures. Google needed at least 50.000 signatures to take the request in consideration.
