Top Channel’s Artur Bibe during a live connection with the news edition from the front line of the war on the border with Gaza, told that by mistake along with the cameraman and another journalist entered the front line, near the Gaza wall.

They were followed by Israeli tanks, which, thinking they were the enemy, started shooting at them. According to Bibe, they were lucky that the soldiers managed to read on their vests that they were journalists, before they opened fire. The soldiers then laid them on the ground, took their phones and equipment and after verifying that they were journalists, told them that they were really lucky to have been spared.

“The Israeli army released me and the cameraman, we mistakenly crossed the front line and entered the desert, approaching the Gaza wall 200-300 meters,” he said.

Bibe continues: “We saw some tanks coming from behind, we saw executed bodies. The tanks pointed the machine gun at us but they saw that we were journalists, they ordered us to turn back, an Israeli force came out of the trenches and after shooting in the air, they stopped us, put us in the ground, took our phones and equipment. They verified that we were journalists, and we have now been at the department for 2-3 minutes.

“We went to the front line, the Israeli army has launched its offensive, intervene and withdraw, again. There will be many casualties. We are very close to the front lines, in the video they were clearly visible, the wall that was destroyed by the extremists was visible, their positions were visible, We are lucky, God saved us so that we are here talking with you again. The Israeli soldiers called us crazy and lucky because they could read the sign on our vests, there shouldn’t be any journalists there, we walked into the desert, where we found ourselves next to the wall”, says Artur Bibe.
