The Socialist Movement for Integration has sued the Prime Minister of
Albania, Edi Rama, claiming that he has violated the law by inviting the
police officers to attract votes for the SP.
“Rama’s appeals to the police are the worst law violation in the past 25 years, and have broken the moral of the duty of a Prime Minister. This falls against the Constitution and all laws. The Prime Minister has violated the state hierarchy, the Constitution and even the most recent Order released by his government, as product of the political agreement of May 18th, 2017. Through this act, Edi Rama has violated the laws that forbid the police from being part of the campaign”, the SMI declaration says.
SMI adds that an objective investigation must be done, since the Prime Minister has consumed a criminal act. “We see a medical investigation of the Prime Minister as very necessary, to verify if he is mentally able to fulfill his duty”, the declaration continues.
The SMI asked the President to gather the National Security Council and “analyze the illegal activity of the Prime Minister”.
