Although he was left in prison for 15 days, the Court of Serious Crimes
considered the arrest of Emirjon Gjuta as illegal. He was suspected of
obstructing justice for the bomb attacks of the past days.

His lawyer, Qazim Gjoni, declared that the 26-year-old used phone seller was arrested without an order from the Prosecution.

Gjuta says he doesn’t know the person he sold the cell phone for 25 dollars, which was then used for the attack against Bashkim Tahiri.

“He told his entire activity on February 9th, when the phone was sold. He didn’t know that someone would use the phone for criminal purposes”, Gjoni declared.

“He has nothing to do with the bomb. He only cares about his work, the school and his family’s problems. We would sell a cell phone to anyone”, says his father, Ramiz Gjuta.

The Prosecution needs more evidence for their suspicions on the 26-year-old. As for the attacks, the Prosecution say they don’t have any concrete lead.
