Democratic opposition MP Agron Gjekmarkaj held a meeting with residents of Rrila, Tale e Shënkoll in northeastern Albania, accompanied by MP Lindita Metalia, the leader of the Lezha, Gjin Gjoni, and members of the Working Group.
While emphasizing that the misrule of these 12 years has caused colossal damage, he called on immigrants in the area to vote for the PD on May 11 and to participate in its protests.
In the post, Gjekmarkaj said, among other things:
Thank you and gratitude to all the democrats and free people of this area who have remained loyal to the causes of the PD. Condolences to the community of democrats and individual condolences for the difficult times when we were unable to respond to their political demands!
Shënkolli, Rrila, Talja and no other area of Albania deserves the inequality and emptiness caused by Edi Rama’s rule. This political reality of renaissance has damaged everything, it has damaged the basis of society, family economies, small and large businesses.
Thousands of hectares of land left fallow are the responsibility of state authorities. No support for farmers, no agriculture, no study for the future of these areas and in Bregu i Matës. They talk endlessly about energy tenders, while residents spend hours in the dark. Even this evening, thousands of families are in the dark in Bregu i Matës and in Lezha. A serious problem in summer and winter that has not bothered anyone in power.
Pensioners are the most oppressed and forgotten class. Thousands of elderly people cannot take their medication and with great difficulty make ends meet. The mockery they are being made of the end-of-year handout is the ugliest propaganda.
We will not stop reacting to this government for a moment, we have done so and we will intensify it even more to ensure a free vote through the Technical Government.
Therefore, on December 23, all together in civil disobedience in Tirana. The Democratic Party has the duty and historical responsibility to make every effort to change the present.
