Germany, no more asylum for citizens from safe countries

Only politically persecuted people will receive asylum in Germany.
Citizens from safe countires will not receive anymore help, although the
authorities are obliged to continue reviewing every single case, since
every case deserves to enjoy the right to appeal the decision.

However, when asylum is rejected, these citizens will receive a temporary permit to stay for no more than six months. When the permit expires, there will be an obligatory repatriation.

Usually no concrete dates are given for the obligatory repatriation. The police might come in the middle of the night, leaving no time to collect the belongings. It is hard especially for children who have made friends in German schools. The UNICEF study says that this repatriation could be traumatizing. This is why German authorities advice asylum seekers to leave voluntarily.
