Germany: Don’t fall prey of frads. There is no asylum. Everyone will be brought back

“The illegal immigration is an issue that has our full attention. The number of Albanian asylum seekers has increased with 10 times during this year. Yesterday we followed a dramatic development while hundreds of citizens were trying to travel to Germany, all based on a speculation that they would receive jobs and asylum if they went to Germany within this year. We are proud that we help people with political asylum, but Germany gives no economic asylum. It is irresponsible to lie to the people and force them to sell their belongings for the travel. I repeat: those who go to Germany for economic asylum will be returned”, declared the German Ambassador, Helmut Hoffman.

In this visit he was accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, who declared that the government is committed to fight illegal immigration. He asked citizens to report other fraudelent cases as that of this Thursday in Vlore.

“It is impossible to go to any European country and ask for asylum through this method, as a way to end economic problems. Albania is a safe country where the basic rights and freedoms are respected. There is no chance to go and manipulate the authorities, not here and not in the EU. The police is investigating not only in Vlore, but in several districts. Five citizens have been arrested so far, while investigations are continuing. I would encourage citizens to report those who are making these frauds and the organizers of this crazy business”, Minister Tahiri declared.

The Interior Minister said that they are investigating in several districts for frauds made by tourist agencies for profits.
