Germany confirms support to Albania’s EU integration and reforms

The German Foreign Minister, Sigmar Gabriel, offered support for Albania’s EU integration and for the role that our country plays in the region.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Rama in Berlin, Gabriel said taht reforms before elections are not easy even in Germany.
“We want Albania to continue with its EU approach. The plan is now on the table. I want to thank you about the reforms, and for your personal commitment. Reforms before elections are not easy even in Germany. We know this. We also know that most of Albanians want stabilization and further progress”, the German diplomat said.
Prime Minister Rama said that thanks to German support, Albania has progressed significantly with the judiciary reform.
“We hope to be up to the task of starting the implementation of the reform through the Vetting of judges and prosecutors, so that we can start the EU negotiations”, Rama said.
