The Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, accompanied a delegation of the German Bundestag at the situation created in Durres after the November 26th earthquake.
He also asked the German delegation possible financial assistance to face the situation.
“We are here to see what buildings are going to be rebuilt and which are going to be used. We have financial aid from the EU, but also from the member countries and other EU members. This might take days and weeks for a final conclusion. We must work hard so that this area is given back to residents and tourists”, Balla declared.
The German MP said that Albania should receive assistance. “We must stay by the side f the Albanian people, the victims and the relatives who lost their dear ones and their homes. And also to those citizens who don’t know yet whether their homes will be demolished or not. It was good that we saw an intervention from the EU countries, which happened very quickly”, said the German MP.
