The German Ambassador, Susane Schutz, from Korca, appealed the opposition to return in Parliament. She also commented the declarations of the Albanian prime Minister regarding Kosovo.
“We think that a democracy needs an opposition. I appeal the opposition to go back to Parliament, as there are many laws to be approved, such as the Electoral Code.
As for Rama’s declaration in Kosovo, Schutz said that Germany has stated that the six Western Balkan countries have a perspective for Eu accession. This goes for Kosovo and Serbia as well. But it is important for both countries to normalize the relations.
The German ambassador insisted that Germany doesn’t see the territory exchange as a solution.
When asked if Albania is getting closer to the EU, Schutz said that Albania has made significant progress, but there is still a lot to do with the fight against organized crime and corruption.
