The German Ambassador to Tirana, Susanne Schutz, appealed all parties to engage for avoiding any kind of violence this Sunday, as the country holds the local elections.
“Considering the local elections of this Sunday, June 30th, I appeal all parties to contribute actively to avoid any kind of violence. It is of upmost importance for the elections to be free. This is an obligation of the opposition parties. Germany has brought observers to Albania, who will watch the processes very closely, as part of the OSCE/ODIHR mission”, said the declaration of Schutz.
She underlined that all parties should be ready for dialogue and take their responsibilities even after the elections.
As for the accusations referring to criminal acts during the past elections, should be clarified by the law-enforcement agencies, according to the laws in act.
Schutz had a new message for the Constitutional Court: “The Constitutional Court should be established the soonest possible in order to bring an answer to the cases that have been unclear so far”.
