A gas well at the Verri village of Fier has exploded this Tuesday. The
well has released bigger gas quantities very close to residential homes.
More than 15 families have left their houses due to the huge amount of gas. Teaching in the “Vasil Shota” high-school also stopped after students started not feeling well.
“Classes were filled with gas and we couldn’t continue teaching”, one teacher says.
Authorities are on the scene and are trying to close the well.
