The former Governor of the Bank of Albania, Ardian Fullani, refused to
speak at the Prosecution of Tirana for the ongoing investigations that
put him as a suspect for power abuse and neglect that caused the
conditions for the vault theft of 713 million ALL.
Two police officers, Elidon Hysenaj and Lazar Tuni, entered prison 302 where Fullani is held while his lawyer, Maks Haxhia, had arrived earlier.
The two officers had to make 10 questions that were drafted by Prosecutor Ramdan Troci, but official sources said that Fullani did not make himself available to answer.
Fullani asked for the Prosecution’s materials in a written form about every accusation of power abuse, and added “that after this moment he reserves the right to answer in another moment”.
While the representatives of the Prosecution left this situation without comments, his lawyer tried to escape the media’s attention by leaving from another door, saying that he had arrived at the prison simply for a visit.
”I was here on a visit. We have appealed the imprisonment order with the arguments I gave in an interview. No arrest can be carried out for this crime”, Haxhia declared.
The Prosecution continued with the investigations by questioning the former Director of the Security Department at the Emission Department, Eduard Sinani, who blamed the former Director of Treasury, Dorian Collaku.
