Albanian Bank Governor, Ardian Fullani, asked second level banks to increase crediting for domestic economy.

According to Fullani, small and medium enterprises are the first who need support, because the economical growth serves to the banking system itself.

“A better distribution through the sectors is needed, and a more reasonable balance between public and private projects, orienting the credits in favor of domestic economy”, Fullani said.

As for the bad loans, governor Fullani said that the banks should intervene in time to assess the profits from guaranties.

“This process is necessary for the cooperation with the clients that encounter temporary difficulties. The assigned actions should be undertaken in time in order to execute the collateral, for a maximal recovery of the assets”, Fullani said.

The declaration of the Governor Adrian Fullani was released during the Conference for the 24th anniversary of the Eastern and Central Europe Banking Observing Group.
