Bank of Albania says that the economy will turn during 2014, regardless of the problems faced during the first trimester.
“The economic growth will be more balanced, based on the domestic and foreign demand. The improved business climate will make the economy sector profit from stimulus and encouraging consumption”, declared the Governor of Bank of Albania, Ardian Fullani.
According to Fullani, the financial markets in the next trimsters will be improved more than what it is expected.
“The perception of businesses for the financial markets has shown a quicker improvement than what we expected. Our monetary policy has controlled the expectancies of the economic agents for inflation, by reducing the risk of liquidity and inflation in markets; by reducing risk in the banking and bond markets”, Fullani specified.
The Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania decided to keep the interest rate unchanged at 2.75%.
