The Governor of the Albanian Bank, Ardian Fullani, made his last public appearance for 2011.

His press release came after the meeting of the Supervision Board of Bank of Albania, where was decided that the interest rate will remain unchanged. After communicating this decision to the Council, Fullani made a prediction for the economy of 2012.

According to him, insecurities will grow and the production growth will remain slow. The panorama will also be hampered by the Eurosone crisis, which is expected to bring more recession to the Euro countries.

In such conditions, when the government has no more space for encouraging production, the only solution, according to Fullani, will be the growth of the consumption level. He invited all individuals to face fear and increase consumption. He also appealed the business to increase investments.

As for the banking system in the country, Fullani declared that it will remain solid and will be able to support high financing demands. The Governor predicted better loaning conditions from banks, not only for businesses, but also for individuals.
