The European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Stefan Fule, is
attending a two-day visit in Tirana, the third in our country within
this year.

The Commissioner will start what the European Commission considers high-level dialogue for the main priorities by meeting with the highest representatives of the Albanian government.

Klajda Gjosha, Minister of European Integration, explained Albania’s expectancies in an interview for Top Channel.

“We are happy for Mr.Fule’s visit in Tirana, for a reason that it corresponds with a very important meeting of a very high level. This is about the meeting that Mr.Fule and Mr.Rama will hold today in the Albanian institutions, with the expectancies of the future, the working plan of Albania for the continuity of the integration process and the main five priorities, which Is a constant work of Albania towards the integration process”, Gjoshaj declared.

But which of these five priorities will be the most difficult?

“The most important are anti-corruption and organized crime, two priorities that are found not only in Albania, but also in the most developed countries, and that also are more difficult to be realized. But we are convinced and we will use all our capabilities to cooperate with the Ministry and independent institutions for these major matters”, Gjosha declared.

Top Channel: We’re a few weeks from the Council of Ministers’ meeting in December, which will vote the Commission’s proposition to give Albania the candidate status. Are there European Union countries that could vote against in this meeting?

Ministrja Gjosha: There has always been skeptical countries, and this is normal. Regardless of the positive progress-report, all the member countries want to review the work progress of the government and all of our commitments for the five remaining criteria.
