Fuel extraction pollution have caused blood diseases to Zharreza residents

Uncontrolled fuel waste dumped in the village stream, puddles of oil around the oil wells and the gas that is released in the air have made life very hard for the residents of Zharrez.

The pollution in this area is the main cause of blood diseases. Reesidents say that many of them, old and young alike, have phenol presence in their blood.

Being aware of the severe consequences of fuel pollution, residents want an immediate intervention so that their children will not be faced with the same fate.

There are seven oil wells in Zharreza with a very high level of environmental pollution, besides four ecological pits that deposits fuel wastes.
