“Fresh start” option for companies with past tax evasion

With the harshening of the anti-evasion measures and strengthening of
inspections, the government has decided to silently make an amnesty for
businesses that have committed tax evasion in the past but who pay the
debt immediately.
The Tax Office will not make a criminal report against tax payers who will declare the violations on their own will and who will fix it by paying the debt immediately. But companies that have already been discovered by the tax office will not receive amnesty.
The operation against informality might put many businesses in difficulties, since the inspections nd reinforcement of the rule will bring to surface their past violations and a criminal lawsuit would start immediately.
In this situation, the authorities seem to have decided to give this final option for companies with old problems. Experts at the Ministry of Finances say that this article balances the harsh fiscal measures, because it allows businesses to make a fresh start.
