The Albanian Freedom Party announced tonight that it will hold a protest in front of the Special Prosecution Office, following the arrest its party leader, Ilir Meta.
The protest has been announced for December 6, at 12 noon in front of the special anti-corruption prosecution office SPAK.
Ilir Meta was arrested on October 21 by order of SPAK, and faces three charges of concealing assets.
Meta addressed his supporters with a letter, which was read by Tedi Blushi during a press conference.
“In the impossibility of any other communication with you, due to the extreme isolation in which I find myself from the Narco-regime of the officials in power, I greet you cordially and with gratitude for your solidarity and invincible resistance in these decisive times for the existence of democracy and political pluralism, but also for the existence of our Nation and the Albanian family”, wrote Meta.
“The metamorphosis of the Justice Reform with 140 votes that turned into a Rama-reform that installed step by step the coup of the Soros-ist mafia in our country, which is executed every day not only through an arbitrary, violent and bullying Government, but also through a junta of justice that violates the Constitution, the European Convention on Human Rights and has destroyed the independence of the courts at every level. This was also proven in the recent case of the Berisha case, which is not only alarming, but a call for Civil Disobedience”.
“Therefore, I call on all members and sympathizers of the Freedom Party to join the Civil Disobedience of the DP, so that pensioners do not die due to non-reimbursement of medicines, so that children are not killed in schoolyards, so that the Directorates do not distribute drugs to students, so that the Drug Justice does not summon an entire village to the SPAK prosecutor’s office for a carjacking, but rather arrest the actual owners of the Tirana Incinerator.
“The only sure way that enables us to realize this program in the interest of all Albanians is to confront and overthrow the Drug Regime. Victory belongs to the brave and the Patriots, therefore victory also belongs to us”, Meta’s letter further added.
