The two Indian businessmen, who received Albanian citizenship although they were wanted in their countries for defrauding 1 billion USD, were registered to vote at the Sauk area.

Earlier this year, one of the two brothers, Nitin Sandesara, was even appointed Consul of Honor of Albania in Nigeria. The Foreign Ministry interrupted this mandate a few days ago.

The two brothers appeared at the voting list for the elections. Besides them, there is also Diptiben Sandesara, the wife of one of the brothers who also received Albanian citizenship on September 2018.

Her brother was arrested a few days ago at the Tirana Airport, as he was trying to leave the country.
