The Inspection Director at the General Directory of Metrology was
summoned for questioning this day by investigators as a man that is
aware of important facts. The authorities are investigating how citizens
have been deceived by some trade subjects and the fuel sale.
Seladin Xhidiaj, head of the inspection and one of the persons who have signed the inspection report that showed violations by 14 subjects, declared that he is open to cooperate with the Prosecution for all necessary information.
“They summoned me for the important matter that received attention from the media. I offered my cooperation and talked about the report. There are violations not in quantity, but in documentation”, Xhidaj declared after the interrogation.
Seven other inspectors are expected to give their versions in the Prosecution, together with the General Director of Metrology, Kozeta Mesiti.
The Prosecution suspects that the citizens have been deceived in small quantities while buying fuel, while the criminal procedure has been registered for three crimes: robbery, fraud and tax evasion.
